Château Lamothe-Bergeron 2011

60% Cabernet, 40% Merlot

A deep ruby hue with subtle brick highlights. The nose opens with notes of candied cherry, blackcurrant liqueur, and raspberry preserves, layered with hints of tobacco. With aeration, the bouquet evolves toward kirsch cherry, wild strawberry, refined oak, vanilla, earthy tones, delicate spices such as pepper and nutmeg, and a touch of leather.
On the palate, the wine is generous and round, carried by a refreshing lift. The tannins are abundant yet silky, supporting flavors of blackcurrant and cherry. The finish is long, with elegant woody notes.
